Guilds / Clans

I'm hoping that they are added in a future update, it would be really cool to have them in the game. I suppose they're waiting for the playerbase to grow a little more though. Think guilds are a good idea?

i just started this game today. reached lvl 17 and have 10000 pvp points without spending any money. received several boosters and can defeat all opponents.

Unfortunately once you level up a reasonable amount it always matches you with opponents who are equal / better than you. I struggle to get to the fifth battle without having the timer run out. It's a really good game nevertheless! :D

To get to the Fifth battle I stock my energy to 10/10 then I beat the first 4 opponents then I wait 1 hour and 40 minutes until I get my 5 PVP points to beat my 5th opponent, but you are right I noticed that the opponents are getting harder to beat but in my case I have some strong UR fighters so it is not hard. Also if you level and fuse your Super rare fighters correctly you cane asiliy get your stats above 1300 + and you will have no problem at all beating players in PVP

On a side note, how did you get those UR fighters? Go on wiki chat!

I got a UR, a SR, and multiple matched R's that I can fuse to grow better.

As suggestion for building an easy (and free) SR fighter through fusion is to get Bianca. She's given as a login bonus for somewhere between the 5th and 7th consective day you login.

How do you grow/fuse her? On whatever day you get her, go ahead and play normally, but the following day do not login at all to the game. Yes, I know that this will set you back on several events, the arena, getting free cash from your city, and even affect your questing a bit...repeating this process every week for one month will earn you enough copies (4) to fuse her up to your first SR fighter through fusion - at which point using just her alone is often enough to wipe out many other teams in the arena (and some event bosses, such as "Manos" currently, who happens to be Earth type which Bianca's Shadow type does insane damage against). If you have the patience to do this for two months, you can get eight copies of her, which is enough to optimize her growth through my fusion formula (if you so choose - but remember, its pretty time, energy, money, and resource intensive - its supposed to be), which will make her next to godly, and able to stand up to everything aside from people who got lucky enough to be able to build a few UR++ or L fighters (unless they're Earth type, in which case she often still wipes the floor with them).

Based on my experience, the way your foes are chosen for arena matches is based on YOUR actual level in the game, not how strong your team is. The first opponent is typically chosen using this formula: player level - 1-5, with <level-3> being the most common. If your finding that you are having significant trouble winning in the arena, start spending your energy in weaker areas to build up experience slower. The 'questing' in the game is a terrible way to try and make money anyway, so the main reason(s) for even bothering to advance in areas is to collect fighters for training, and advance the storyline. You can farm fighters of all five elements extremely early in the game, so fight in those areas to build your team, while mitigating how much experience you gain, and essentially level more slowly. Most of your money making should be done through building up your city (you can earn in excess of 50k per hour through just your city, if you set it up right - I currently get over 30k per hour, and I haven't even bought all the expansions yet, for example). Arena matches and epic boss fights don't generate actual experience, so feel free to continue engaging in both - no sense in just wasting that energy, even if your losing, right?

The way that this contributes to the arena, however, is that your first opponent will always be anywhere from one to five levels below you, while the fifth opponent will always be anywhere from your actual player level, to your level +4 (average being your level +2 for the last opponent in the arena).

Based on my observations so far, your actual arena "rank" currently holds (almost) no bearing on your opponents (yet, probably). This probably (hopefully) will change when/if the playerbase grows enough to support/need it. But, at present, it seems that you just have other players who are 'around your level' thrown at you. Level to fast, and you'll be crushed by almost everyone. Level slowly, and you'll crush (almost) everyone who you encounter (until we get a massive flux in paid players, who manage to run multiple UR's, ect.). However, also keep in mind that your (and there) team size is based on level also, so, if you restrict your own level, you can fundamentally accomplish more, with 'weaker' fighters. At low(er) levels, if you encounter a Legendary (or even just an un-fused UR), that's likely all the player has. One strong fighter, and a bunch of (usually un-fused) commons and uncommons to try and back it up. Max team size just wont allow for more.

Yet another (hopefully useful) tip from your friendly neighborhood robotic penguin.

Have a great day!

Cheers.

since the last patch, its already becoming a money machine, forcing ppl to buy ingame money to use continues to progress in arena .. Before the patch, I was in top 50 in arena, keeping up easily in top100 while playing 3-4 times/day. Now I can't keep up with 900-1000s. I often have to use 3-4 continues to beat my first challenger in arena, thus preventing me to reach 5th opponent, I even rarely reach the 3rd one now ...
I'm quite the same now too, I guess there must have been a lot of people spending money judging by the amount of ultra rare's some people have.

Its not GREE that has done anything last patch that makes you lose, you simply have worse fighters then those you are matched against. What has happened is that there is more people spending cash for advantage witch ofc is reflected on your ability to win. So, the funktion was there before. I manage to stay top 500 without cash (350-450 ish somewhere). On top of that, if you log 3-4 times a day, ppl like me is leveling past you and hte playerbase is constantly growing. What I noticed is if anything the opposite of what you have observed, it has become easier rather then harder to keep up. But I have put that down to having better fighters now then a week ago.

On hte subject of the thread, I would assume that they will come with some sort of alliances. This games resembles other GREE games I have played and most of them have alliances.

This is true, every week that the game has been running for there have been more people joining the game and a fair few of these people spend actual money to gain and advantage at the start. Also every week the new fighters become stronger than the older fighters, and most of these can only be pbtained from heists. Now with the devs adding bonuses for opening a certain number of chests at once which give extra rewards has cuased people to buy cash and spend in game. They probably will introduce guild/clans later in the game. And ofcourse it will be for wars, where top guilds will spend money..
